Salesforce Spring '18 Release Review: 6 New Features that will help Recruiting Teams
It's that time of the year again! Salesforce is going to release all of the new features they have built for the Spring 2018 release one week from today.

Here is a list (directly from Salesforce) of the new features that I think will matter most to staffing and consulting firms:
Supercharge Your Productivity with Personalized Navigation in Lightning Experience Personalize an app’s navigation bar to suit the unique way you work. You can reorder items, and rename or remove items that you’ve added. We’ve also given you more ways to navigate with temporary tabs. This feature is new in Lightning Experience.
Show Your True Colors with Themes in Lightning Experience Rally your team around your brand and important initiatives, like a new product launch, with a set of custom brand images and colors in your org. We call them themes. You can choose one of Salesforce’s built-in themes or create your own custom themes with just a few clicks. This feature is new in Lightning Experience.
Gather Feedback with Salesforce Surveys (Generally Available) Introducing Salesforce Surveys! Create beautiful, easy-to-use forms for collecting feedback and data from your users or customers. Add different types of questions to gather the data you need. All your valuable survey data is stored in your org, so you can harness the power of Salesforce to view data, create reports and dashboards, and share insights with your company. This feature is generally available in Classic and Lightning Experience.
Boost Productivity with Quick Text and Macros Macros are available in Lightning apps on most standard and custom objects. Quick text joins your Lightning Experience toolbox, too. These changes apply to Lightning Experience only.
Search: More Ways to Refine Your Search Results Filters are here in Lightning Experience, starting with accounts and files. We also improved the Top Results page, which shows the results for the objects most relevant to you at the top. And, as always, more objects are searchable.
Popup Helps You and Your Users Adopt Lightning Experience If you’ve enabled Lightning Experience, we’re here to help you and your users make the move. Starting on January 15, your eligible users still using Salesforce Classic are prompted to give Lightning Experience a shot.
All of the new features will be available to you if you are using a Salesforce based recruiting tool such as TalentRover, TargetRecruiter, or JobScience. The one caveat is that a lot of the new features apply to Lightning, so you won't be able to use all of these new tools if you are in Classic.
I am excited to dive into some analysis of the new tools and I think that several of these new features will really help staffing and consulting firms get more value out of Salesforce.
